As we crossed the dog fence into Arkaringa Station, a homely little cattle property of a modest 1,750 sq kms (!) , we looked out for dingoes, wild camels and emus but saw none. Just a few of the 1200 cattle grazing the unusually green desert. Stopped at the homestead for lunch followed by Lauren's excellent cappuccino and a jar of her best home made quangdong jam - a local delicacy. Regular touch rugby matches on the dirt road sought to correct the mistakes of the Wallabies against the British and Irish Lions last night. Driving into the setting sun for truckies dinner and bed at Marla, last stop before Northern Territory and the final push to Uluru, Kings Canyon and the camel cup at Alice Springs.
